Sunny beach is a Bulgarian resort on the Black Sea coast, in Nessebar municipality of Burgas province, about 35 kilometers north of the city of Burgas.
Sunny Beach is the largest and most popular resort in Bulgaria, with 600 hotels and 400 restaurants. Its construction began in 1958, in a place where in ancient and medieval times there were wells supplying Nessebar with water.
The city is known as the Las Vegas of Eastern Europe. Discos, clubs, restaurants, theme parks and hotel complexes with pools illuminate the whole coast after dark. In the area there are 2 water parks.
In the years 1965-1999 the city was home to the Golden Orpheus international pop music festival, one of the most important musical events in the countries of the Eastern bloc
